The father of her, Charles FitzSimons, managed the business of Dublin as well as owned a part of the renowned Irish soccer club "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons' is the 2nd FitzSimons kid. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen enjoyed playing athletic games as a child and excelled at sports. Additionally, she had a gift to act. That was apparent that she was the winner of each Feis for drama and theater that Ireland had to provide. At the age of 14 she enrolled in the Abbey Theater to follow her goal of studying classical theatre and operatic vocals.
