Her achievements as a child performer in America (which we refer to as Maureen O'Hara today) would be a sure signification for her to the category of child prodigies. As a person with Irish roots, surrounded as she was by gifted parents, and her family, this came naturally. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished refuge in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th 1920.
